Billiard Art & Memorabilia
VIEWING SUGGESTIONS
This site is like a SLIDE SHOW . . . .
1) Use the F11 key to maximize the viewing area (it's a toggle key).
2) Start where ever you wish on the Memorabilia List and then use the horizontal arrows in the upper left corner of the photo pages to scroll from one piece to the next like a slide show.
3) Use the vertical arrows OR 'click' on the photos to take you down to a more detailed view of the same piece (if there is one) and back . . . ENJOY!

Billiard Art & Memorabilia
from the Bachmen Collection
Shown is a sampling of the hundreds of items in the collection - too many to show here. The largest part of the collection is material from pool films, particularly “The Hustler”, “The Baltimore Bullet”, and “The Color of Money” - original posters, lobby cards, and production and PR photos. Many are beautifully framed, some put together into groupings of 2 or more pieces.
I have collected autographed player photos, tournament & exhibition posters (most autographed), old movie stills with billiard scenes, and original PR photos from television shows with billiard-themed episodes. Also in the collection are magazine illustrations and advertisements from the past 125 years, post cards, lithographs, and other works on paper.
Please e-mail me if there is something in particular you're looking for. I have photos of most items available on request.

014M) Chalkers Billiard Club Neon Sign
Custom-made neon sign with “CHALKERS Billiard Club” in yellow-gold letters on a black background. This was an interior sign, hung in the Greenleaf Room at the rear of the San Francisco club from 1993 until 2002, looking out on the Rincon Center courtyard.
The box supporting the neon sign is gold and has a completely enclosed back. It can be suspended from the top by the two attached brass chains, if you should wish to hang it in a window or from the ceiling. Four clear silicone spacer pegs (one in each corner) protect the face of the sign from bumps.
Dimensions: 43” wide x 16” high. There is a small remote transformer box (black) attached to the sign. Uses standard 3-prong outlet.
This would be a unique addition to the décor of your private billiard room, and of particular interest to those who collect billiard-themed neon signs.

015M) Chalkers Billiard Club Sign - Carved Wood
Custom-made sign with “CHALKERS Billiard Club” in gold letters on a black background. This was an interior sign, hung just to the left of the entrance of the San Francisco club, looking out into the Rincon Center Atrium. It greeted our customers for nine years, from 1993 through 2002.
This substantial sign is solid hardwood 1-¾ inches thick, constructed of laminated wood (the same way a butcher block is made). The letters and border were hand-carved in relief, then painted with metallic gold paint. The background was carved to provide texture and painted black.
Dimensions: 54” wide x 20” high. There are two small holes drilled through the sign where bolts secured the sign to the wall.
This one-of-a-kind sign would be a unique addition to the décor of your private billiard room, and of particular interest to those who collect billiard-themed signs.
